Our Staff
We believe that a master teacher shows respect for the child by being a good listener, setting clear, constant and fair limits for classroom behavior and redirecting, not punishing children. We believe a master teacher is conscious she is a role-model and is constantly conveying her values, attitudes, and expectations through the things she says and does. Through modeling positive interactions and problem solving behaviors, the master teacher replaces negative behavior with positive behavior and values mistakes as learning opportunities.
We believe the success and quality of child care is highly dependent upon the staff. Our master teachers are CPR and First Aid trained, have criminal background and FBI fingerprint clearance, acquired or working towards an Associates in Child Development, and maintains yearly training hours well above the minimum standard.
Each child is assigned to a specific classroom depending upon age and developmental needs. The children's interests and developmental guide the curriculum planning. In our center, you will find smaller classroom sizes, 3 to 1 infant/teacher ratio, competitive rates, and a curriculum that supports appreciation of diversity, inclusion, health and safety habits, communication skills, creative expression and social skills. A daily schedule is posted in each classroom that includes a constant routine and reflects a balance of indoor/outdoor activities, small/large group activities, and child/caregiver activities.
We have excellent after school, summer and Kindergarten Readiness programs. Classes include homework assistance, school approved math computer games, reading centers with prizes awarded when reading goal is completed, weekly arts and crafts and cooking and life skills education.
